Sri Sadguru Samartha Narayana Maharaj Ashram Harihara
Sri Sri Sri Sadguru Samartha Narayana Maharaj is the personification of “Sadguru Tathwa” as defined in Guru Geetha by Maheswara. He is verily the incarnation of Sri Kalyana Swamy Maharaj, the most beloved disciple of Sri Sri Sri Sadguru Samartha Ramadasa Swamy, the founder of ‘Samartha Sampradaya’.
Harihar also called Harihara is a city in Davanagere District in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the administrative headquarters of the Harihar Taluk. Harihar is famous for Harihareshwara temple, also known as “Dakshina Kashi”, and as the “Industrial Hub of central Karnataka.”
Harihara is situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, 275 kilometres north of Bangalore. Harihar and Davangere (14 km away) are referred as “twin cities”. ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಗಳು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಅನುಭವದ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ

Sri Sri Shankarabhagawan Maharaj's aradhana was accomplished on 14-2-2017 at Tippapura. He was the one who blessed Bhagawan(APPA).
Sri Shankarabhagawan was born in Sankanna family of Haveri in 1854. Narayana sharma and Parvati devi were his parents. Formally, his name was Shankarappa. After passing the Mulki(SSLC) examination, he became a teacher in a place called Neeralagi. He married Parvathamma a girl from the Havnur Patel's family. In 1873 he was blessed with a son and on the third day of its deliery, the mother passed away. Shankarappa was not interested in another marriage and started worshiping godess Devi. After a few days he went to the place called Banashankari, where attired as a woman, he served the Devi. Further, on the instruction of Banashankari Devi, he went to Nanjanagud and performed Tapas, meditating of lord Srikanteshwara, the main deity of the temple. Lord Srikanteshwara came alive before him and
said, " your Guru is in Agadi. Go to him". Shankarappa went to Agadi and saw Sri Seshachala sadguru who, wearing a dhoti and a shirt like any other householder was, playing a card game,'Ganjeefa' with his devotees.
'What kind of a Guru is he to indulge himself in card playing?' shankarappa said to himself aside, and returned to Nanjanagud to resume Tapas, with greater fervour and discipline.
The Lord appeared in his dream and said "your ignorance is a deterrent to your progress and elevation. He is Chidambara in human form. He is Narayana. Feel fulfilled by holding on to his feet".
Shankarappa went to Haveri, his home town, and left for Agadi performing a ritualistic walk of prostrating, for every step put forward, until the destination is reached. The Agadi Maharaj presented himself, at some place midway and instructed "come walking". When Shankarappa reached Agadi Anandavana Ashram, the Maharaj appeared, the same way he did before. On seeing Shankarappa, the Maharaj greeted him with folded hands and said "Come on, Maharaj, this one is after all a common pot; having gone to Nanjunda (lord Srikanteshwara) why did you come back again?"
Shankarappa filled with remorse and repentance, caught hold of his feet and prostrated to him like felled log and wept like a child. He was blessed by Sheshachala Sadguru of Agadi and given the name "Sri Shankarabhagawan". As per the wishes of his Guru, he founded the Ashram at Tippapura and was moving from place to place with his companions, begging his way, doing good to the society and mankind. By his nature he was Soft-spoken, simple and unaffected. On his travel mission, he went to Nulenur and blessed Rangappa and gave him the name "Sri Shankaralinga Bhagawan"(APPA).
